During the month of July, the following work was completed and installed. Elevator state inspection, FA testing, TAB completed, exterior final coat of paint, low voltage/data/ audio visual testing, commissioning, deck coatings, final paint and east ramp railing.
During the month of June, the following work was completed and installed. Pour stair pans, landings, benches, and flatwork, projectors and projection screen install, signage install, floor base, equipment start-up, modify head end equipment in admin for new, drop ceiling tiles, finish casework installation, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing along with Low Voltage drops to ceiling grid, final elevator/electrical trims and finishes after plaster/paint, elevator programming and adjustments.
During the month of May, the following work was completed and installed. 2nd floor deck and polish of floors, install doors and hardware, fire sprinkler drops to ceiling grid at 1st floor, installed Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing/ Low Voltage devices at to ceiling grid, casework install at 1st Floor, markerboards and tack at 1st floor, final coat of paint, install HVAC equipment and hook-ups, drop ceiling tiles, install ceiling grid 2nd floor, set storm drain catch basins and clean-outs, fine grade for flatwork around building and ramp, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing exterior trim and finish, flashings and coatings.
During the month of April, the following work was completed and installed. Installation of restroom ceramic tile, grout tile walls and floors, 2nd floor light weight topping, glass installation, brown coat and cure, scratch coat cure, finish color coat plaster, grind and polish classrooms 1st floor, poured east ramp wall, and export excess soil.
During the month of March, the following work was completed and installed. Drywall hard lids, tape and mud walls and hard lids, paint 1st coat painting, install ceiling grid 1st floor, energize building, grounding and testing, plywood/paint on IT room walls, flashings at exterior deck, continue scratch/brown/ finish exterior plaster, restroom mortar beds, and restroom waterproofing.
During the month of February, the following work was completed and installed. 2nd floor fire sprinklers completed, roofing membrane install, Rooftop equipment hook-ups, drywall one side interior walls, insulate walls, drywall 2nd side interior and perimeter walls, frame hard lids, pull feeders and cables, set electrical gear and equipment, install aluminum window frames, poured east ramp retaining wall footings, drywall hard lids, started paper and Lath building / elevator/ machine room.
During the month of December, the following work was completed and installed. Installation of CMU at columns, grout CMU at columns, roof joists and glu lams, roof sheathing, 1st floor electrical/ Low Voltage/ Fire Alarm and overhead rough in, 1st floor HVAC overhead rough, 1st floor plumbing rough, perimeter framing 2nd floor.
During the month of November, the following work was completed and installed. Poured 1st floor interior curbs. Perimeter framing 1st floor, 2nd floor joists and glu lams. Storm drain piping and electrical at CMU at columns. Poured curbs and diamonds. 2nd floor deck sheathing, interior 1st floor framing, perimeter framing 2nd floor has begun. Perimeter sheathing and shear has begun.
During the month of October, the following work was completed and installed. Striped and cleaned pit walls. Waterproofing and backfilling pit walls. Pit walls, gravel/sand and vapor barrier at building and machine room slab on grade. Form/rebar/bolts/pour interior curbs, pour building slab on grade, strip and clean slab on grade. Erected structural steel, and framing has begun.
During the month of September, the following work was completed and installed. Installed gates at electrical yard. Form 2nd side of elevator pit walls. Installation of pit wall rebar and sleeves, form & rebar for footings and elevator pit bottom. Templates and bolts for footings and elevator put bottom. Form/rebar/ bolt perimeter curbs and stem walls. Under slab utilities at building and machine room. Poured footings and elevator pit bottom, pit walls, perimeter curbs, and stem walls. Striped and cleaned footings and pit bottom/cure time, prep/grade for slab on grade.
During the month of August, the following work was completed and installed: Underground utilities to electrical yard pad, prep for slab and pads at electrical yard, extend conduits to new pads/ gear locations within electrical yard, rebar and form for slab and pads at electrical yard, pour slab and pads at electrical yard, pull feeders/ cables to intercept boxes/vaults, strip and clean/cure time at electrical yard, install CMU & grout at electrical yard, layout building foundations and elevator pit, excavate elevator pit, excavate building footings, form & rebar for footings and elevator pit bottom.
During the month of July, the following work was completed and installed: Over excavation and re-compaction / rough grading, building pad grading, pad certification, installation conduit duct banks to new yard, excavate CMU wall footings, set gate posts, set-up temp power provisions and generator, form and rebar/ bolt templates, pour wall footings, poured bus loading zones/ ramp concrete & railing, completed asphalt at portable ramps.
During the month of June, the following work was completed: Install temp fencing, GPR/Utility locate, Utility Safe-off, Demo existing portables, Clear and grub, Survey building corners. Interim housing was set, and the bus loading zones/ramp were demolished. Interim Housing: Preparing for setting of the portables with layout and orientation within the quad and set the portables.
This new building will replace the existing portables and provide us with 12 state-of-the-art classrooms. The new building will have up-to-date classroom technology, including a high-resolution laser projector, ceiling mounted projector screen, high tech speaker system with lanyard microphones, magnetic marker boards, wireless access and computer work stations for teachers, safety features such as keyless entry and central locking control for classrooms, and “green” environmental lighting efficiency. The building will have elevator access to the second-floor classrooms in addition to two sets of stairs. Staff and student restrooms will be incorporated into the building design as well. A new electrical yard, gates, and ramps will also be installed to assure maximum efficiency. The building will be easily accessible to the rear parking lots.
