During the Month of July, the following was completed: Set base for new asphalt, installed new light poles, set new railing, placed new paving, had AC paving cure time, completed slurry seal, completed striping, installed signage, and completed punch list,
During the Month of June, we started Building J parking lot work that includes safe off existing utilities, removal of power poles, relocation of portables, saw cut and remove AC paving, grade base, pour new ramp curbs, dig and set light pole cages, back-fill, pour sidewalks.
During the month of May, we completed commissioning, TAB, FA testing, elevator state inspection, final clean, district move from portables, coordinated the required Edison shutdown at east parking lot for the removal the balance of the portables.
During the Month of April, we painted the final coat in the interior and exterior walls, installed 2nd floor casework, signage, walk off mats, floor base, asphalt paving, gate posts, exterior elevator clock, and downspouts.
During the Month of March, we installed tack boards, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing wall finishes, worked on 2nd floor concrete polishing, finished up 1st floor casework, completed fine grading around the new building, set gate and fence posts for controlled access, poured the majority of south side of concrete flatwork, installed exterior lights on the building and set the stair handrails.
During the month of February, we installed roof flashing and coping, 1st floor casework, white boards, Projectors and Projection Screens, LV / Data / AV Equipment, Louver install, 1st Floor Grind and Polish floors, Ceiling tile, and poured lightweight concrete.
During the month of January, we installed the color coat of plaster, installed restroom accessories and tile, installed T-Bar grid, completed sprinkler drops in ceiling grid and completed electrical / Low voltage/ HVAC drops to into grid.
During the month of December, we primed and 1st coated level 1 & level 2, installed aluminum frames installed glass, installed ceiling grid, set gear and equipment, set modular elevator, installed rood and parapet framing for elevator, installed exterior densglass, placed scratch coat for plaster.
During the month of November, we installed electrical / Low Voltage/ HVAC and sprinkler drops into hard lid ceilings. The drywall hard lids received the tape and mud along with walls. The flashing for plaster was set and the parapet ladder is complete. The light cans and rough in under deck/canopies are complete with Stair #2 railings, roof hatch installed.
During the month of October, we installed exterior HM frames. The 2nd floor electrical & plumbing Overhead rough is complete. Decking at the canopy/stair #2 is complete. Parapet sheathing and MEP roof penetrations are complete. HVAC equipment curbs and Units are set. Hard lids are framed. Exterior deck drains are complete. Roofing Membrane is on to protect the building, the coping cap is in production.
During the month of September, we erected stair #1 and stair #2, the perimeter framing on the 2nd floor is complete and decking at stair #2. The 1st floor OH rough in is complete. CMU columns are complete with grout and perimeter sheathing and shear is complete. The roof sheathing is complete and sunshades are complete.
During the month of August, we did perimeter framing on the 1st floor/full height studs. The 2nd floor joists and glu-lams were installed and interior 1st floor framing. The 2nd floor deck sheathing is complete.
During the month of July, we completed the footings and first floor slab on grade, waterproofed the elevator pit walls and backfilled. Lumber staging took place and Steel was erected. Site has been prepared for student return.
During the month of June, we formed and placed rebar for footings and pit bottom, placed templates and bolts for footings and elevator pit bottom, poured footings and elevator pit bottom, installed pit wall rebar and Utilities sleeves, poured perimeter curbs and stem wall, poured pit walls, and poured Slab of Grade.
During the month of May, the UG utilities to the pad were completed and the storm darin main lines were worked on. The layout for the footings and elevator pit was completed. The footings and elevator pit were excavated and we began to form and rebar for the footings and the elevator pit bottom.
The project is underway with the preparation and execution of prime contracts. Grading and overexacation and recompaction for the building pad is in progress where the old pool was on site. Started to prepare and submit critical submittals.
This new building will replace the existing portables and provide us with 12 state-of-the-art classrooms. The new building will have up-to-date classroom technology, including a high-resolution laser projector, ceiling mounted projector screen, high tech speaker system with lanyard microphones, magnetic marker boards, wireless access and computer work stations for teachers, safety features such as keyless entry and central locking control for classrooms, and “green” environmental lighting efficiency. The building will have elevator access to the second-floor classrooms in addition to two sets of stairs. Staff and student restrooms will be incorporated into the building design as well. Upon completion of the project, the portable buildings in the SE lot will be removed and the balance of the parking lot will be graded, paved and striped and returned to the campus for parking.
