Chaffey High School South Hall Modernization Project Progress Report Through 12/31/22

During the month of December the following has occurred: On all levels, finishes were completed and completed final testing of the systems. Casework for the 3rd floor is complete. Interior signage installed, installaltion of the AV products complete. The State Elevator inspection passed. Staff move started to be ready for classes starting up after the holiday break.

During the month of November the following has occurred: In the basement, miscellaneous framing, drywall, taping is complete. Plaster patchback in miscellaneous areas is complete. HM door frames in progress nearing completion. VCT flooring is being installed. Window trim was installed. Casework install is complete. On level 1, casework installation is complete. Markerboards and Tackboards were installed in classrooms. Interior prime and paint was completed in classrooms. Doors started being swung. Corridor tiling has begun. Flooring and base is progressing in classrooms. Restroom wall and floor tile are progressing. On level 2, markerboards and tackboards were installed in classrooms. Interior prime and paint was completed in classrooms. Doors are have began being installed. Corridor tiling has begun. Flooring and base is progressing in classrooms. Restroom wall and floor tile are progressing. ACT drop ceilings are installed and ACT tile install is in progress. Lighting, low voltage devices and fire sprinkler head installation has begun. Casework installation is in progress. Toilet partition installation complete. On level 3, backing for casework was installed. Framing, drywall, taping and plaster is completed in all rooms. Prime and first coat of paint is progressing. ACT grid and tile installation is in progress. Ceiling device installation in progress.

During the month of October the following has occurred: On the basement level, door frames have been installed, tape/finish drywall/plaster, paint, VCT flooring, lighting/electric and trim. On level 1, plaster patchback added to door frames, career guidance t-bar, corridor tile, restroom tile, and VCT flooring. On level 2, corridor tile, restroom tile, corridor tile, VCT flooring, and lighting/electric Trim. On level 3, t-bar, tape/finish at Classrooms, VCT flooring, and paint.

In the basement, the walls have been framed and are being finished at shotcrete/shear walls. Miscellaneous framing, drywall, taping is still in progressing. Plaster patchback work in miscellaneous areas is still ongoing. HM door frames are still in progress but nearing completion. On level 1, shotcrete/shear walls were completed. T-bar grid tile in classrooms is completed with tiles being dropped. T-bar and light fixtures are being installed in workroom 49. Plaster patchback complete in career guidance office and adjacent rooms. Miscellaneous plaster patchback is ongoing. HVAC is operational and lights, registers and restroom backerboard has been installed. Restroom flooring has been floated for new ceramic tile. Prime and paint work are nearing completion. Casework installation is still in progress. On level 2, shotcrete/shear walls were completed. T-bar grid tile in classrooms is nearing completion. Miscellaneous plaster patchback is ongoing. Lights, registers, and restroom backerboard have been installed. Restroom flooring has been floated for new ceramic tile. Prime and paint nearing completion. On level 3, framing, drywall, taping and plaster is progressing. Backing for casework.

In the Basement, the rebar installation was completed for shear walls. All shear walls have been shotcreted and the electrical connection for the elevator is complete. Miscellaneous framing and drywall is ongoing and plaster patchback in miscellaneous areas has been started. On Level 1, the rebar installation for shear walls is on going. The T-bar grid has been installed in classrooms and corridors. The insulation and drywall is complete in the large workroom and the plaster patchback is ongoing in career guidance offices and adjacent rooms. Miscellaneous plaster patchback is ongoing and the lights and registers are being installed. The installation for additional soffits in corridor has started. Restroom ceilings have been framed out and the concrete curbs in the bathrooms have been poured. On Level 2, the installation for additional soffits in the corridor has started. The drywall in ceilings and walls is ongoing along with tape and finish. The concrete curbs in the bathrooms have been poured. On Level 3, the framing and drywall is on going. The backing for t-bar grid in corridor and classrooms has started.

In the Basement, rebar installation is ongoing for shear walls. the elevator room has been framed out and the insulation is installed. The door rough opening modifications have been completed to accommodate the new hollow metal frames. Miscellaneous framing and drywall has been completed. On Level 1, the T-bar grid is being installed in classrooms and corridors. The insulation and drywall are being installed in workroom 49. Miscellaneous plaster patchback has started. Lights and registers are being installed. The restroom ceilings have been framed out and additional soffit framing installation has started. On Level 2, miscellaneous plaster patchback has started. The wiremold is being installed and additional soffit framing installation has started. On Level 3, framing and drywall is on going.

In the basement, all shear wall footings have been poured. The shoring has been removed in the basement. The rebar installation has started for the shear walls. The windows have been installed and drywall has started. On Level 1, all door frames have been removed and the field measuring for new door frames has begun. The wiremold is being installed and the first coat of paint in classrooms has started. On Level 2, all the door frames have been removed and the field measuring for new door frames has begun. The wiremold is being installed. The wall priming in classrooms has started. On Level 3, the framing and drywall has started. The windows are being installed.

In the basement, the rebar is being finalized for the new footings at the existing columns. The couplers are being added and inspections are ongoing. The windows are being installed.

Chaffey High School South Hall Modernization Project Progress Report Through 4/30/22

The existing footing has been demolished to make way for new footing for the shear wall. The rebar and couplers are being installed where the old footings used to be. On Level 1, the corridior wall insulation has been installed, and the tile backer board is ready to start. The soffit drywall is installed at the ceilings. The classrooms are ready for wall patch along side soffit drywall finish. On Level 2, the soffit drywall is being installed at the ceilings. The demo contractor is removing existing electrical outlets that are no longer being used. The new electrical wall molding is being prefabricated. On Level 3, the fire sprinkler lines are complete. The drywall soffits are also complete on Level 3.

The shoring was installed and existing footings in the basement are currently being demolished. The existing doors are being removed on Level 1 and Level 2, based on the changed order work. The framing is complete, and drywall will be starting for soffits on Level 1 and Level 2. The overhead utilities are complete on Level 2. The overhead utilites and framing are starting on Level 3. The re-roofing of the clay tiles is complete. The sewer change order work in the kiln area is being backfilled.

The basement footing rebar is installed. The Level 1 overhead utilities are complete. The Soffits are complete. The Level 2 overhead utilities are almost complete, soffits are being constructed. The Level 3 utilities are starting. The roofing demo is almost complete and clay tile is half way complete for the 4 different roofs. The Team is working on starting exterior handrail and concrete slab above basement door to pottery room.

The basement footing excavation is under way. The basememnt level sprinklers, overhead plumbing, and overhead electrical are complete. The Level 1 sprinklers & HVAC are complete, overhead electrical is ongoing, and overhead framing for T-bar supports complete. The Level 2 sprinklers and electrical are started, overhead HVAC are complete, and the overhead framing for T-bar supports are complete. The Level 3 demo is complete and the overhead HVAC are started.

In the basement level overhead sprinklers and electrical have started. Overhead plumbing is complete. At level 1 overhead sprinklers, plumbing, electrical, and framing as started. At level 2 overhead electrical and plumbing have started. For level 3, the demo and abatment is now complete. The exterior windows have been removed. Building Modeling coordination is complete.

The new sewer line in the basement is complete. The overhead plumbing and electrical is ongoing in the basement. The Level 1 abetment and demolition is complete. The level 1 overhead mechanical is complete. The Level 2 demolition and abatement is complete and it is now starting on Level 3. The shear wall footing excavation is ongoing. We are currently engineering shoring for the columns.

Salvaging owner items is complete. Cut and cap for each floor is complete. The pre-demo air balancing and test report is complete. Demo and abatement of the basemnet is complete. Demo and abatement is taking place on Level 1. The slab demolition for the new sewer system in the basement has started. The team is currently working through the BIM process.
